Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Sunrise has recently completed a significant two-week drydock at the Navantia shipyard in Cádiz, Spain, setting a benchmark for maintenance and guest experience enhancements onboard. The refurbishment, performed in February 2024, encompasses not only the essential upkeep but also a series of upgrades designed to enrich the passenger experience on the 1999-built vessel. The ship, which can host 2,984 guests, is now ready to resume its service, offering refreshed itineraries from its homeport in South Florida.

A notable addition to the Carnival Sunrise is the new Heroes Tribute Bar, a venue that celebrates the valor of the armed forces. This new facility is among the various other enhancements made to the ship's public areas, including updates to lounges, restaurants, and cabins. These improvements are part of Carnival Cruise Line's ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and onboard experience.

The Carnival Sunrise, which transitioned from its original name, Carnival Triumph, in 2019 following a $200-million modernization project, offers passengers a wide range of itineraries. Starting March 5, 2024, the ship will embark on a series of four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, featuring stops at popular ports such as Cozumel, Nassau, Half Moon Cay, and more. Additionally, from July 2025, the Carnival Sunrise will introduce regular sailings to Carnival’s new private island destination in Grand Bahama, Celebration Key.

During its time at the Navantia shipyard, the Carnival Sunrise underwent not just cosmetic upgrades but also essential maintenance and class surveys to ensure the vessel adheres to the highest safety and technical standards. Following the successful drydock, the ship boasts enhancements that promise an upgraded guest experience centered around comfort, enjoyment, and remembrance, ensuring that the Carnival Sunrise remains a favorite choice for cruisers looking for fun-filled and memorable vacations at sea.
