In a significant expansion of its cruise offerings, Royal Caribbean has announced the launch of a new series of short getaway cruises, poised to delight vacationers looking for brief, but action-packed escapes. These cruises, set to sail between 2025 and 2026, embark from a variety of homeports across the United States, including Florida, Texas, and California, offering passengers an array of sun-drenched destinations and unparalleled onboard experiences.

Among the highlights of this new rollout are the short itineraries set to sail from the West Coast, particularly Los Angeles. The Quantum of the Seas, accommodating up to 4,900 guests, will offer 3- to 6-night voyages to the vibrant ports of Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This ship, launched in 2014, promises a multitude of attractions, including the SeaPlex, the largest indoor active space at sea featuring bumper cars and a roller-skating rink. Meanwhile, the Navigator of the Seas, capable of hosting 3,386 guests, will also set off from Los Angeles, boasting short getaways to Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, Mexico, and Catalina Island, California.

For those eager to explore the Caribbean and the Bahamas, Royal Caribbean presents an expansive selection of itineraries aboard various classes of ships, including the much-celebrated Oasis-class vessels. Utopia of the Seas, debuting in July 2024, and Wonder of the Seas, launched in 2022, are at the forefront of these offerings. Guests can indulge in 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Perfect Day at CocoCay, the line’s private island retreats known for pristine beaches and thrilling water activities.

Not to be overlooked, Royal Caribbean’s fleet offers something for everyone, from adrenaline-inducing features like the Ultimate Abyss dry slide and the FlowRider surf simulator on Oasis-class ships to an abundance of dining and entertainment options. With more than 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges across their ships, travelers are guaranteed a diverse and satisfying culinary journey.

These short cruises are not just a testament to Royal Caribbean’s commitment to innovative vacation experiences but also provide a convenient option for travelers seeking a quick escape. With sailings opening for bookings to Crown & Anchor Society members starting February 28, 2024, and the general public the following day, these cruises promise to cater to every type of vacationer, setting a new benchmark for short-term cruise adventures from the US.
