Campbell Island, also known as Motu Ihupuku, is an uninhabited subantarctic island and the largest in the Campbell archipelago. It covers approximately 113 km2 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The island's terrain is mountainous, with a peak of over 500m in the south. Campbell Island is a major seabird breeding area for the southern royal albatross and is designated an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International. Visitors can see unique rock formations, such as Dent Island and Folly Islands, and explore the rich biodiversity of the region. The island is also home to the world's most remote tree, a 100-year-old Sitka spruce.
