Dundas Harbour, located on Devon Island in Nunavut, Canada, is an abandoned settlement with a rich history. Established in August 1924 to monitor foreign whaling activities, it was later leased by the Hudson's Bay Company. Inhabitants included Inuit relocated from Kinngait. The settlement was populated in the late 1940s for patrol purposes but ultimately closed in 1951 due to ice difficulties. Today, visitors can explore the ruins of buildings and the northernmost cemetery in Canada. Attractions include the Johnson Bay Cemetery with the graves of two RCMP members. Dundas Harbour offers a glimpse into Canada's Arctic past and the challenges faced by its early inhabitants.
