The Port of Helsingborg is a major ferry port, container specialist, and a leading port in Northern Europe. It serves as a crucial hub for shipping companies, conveyors, and forwarding agents, offering efficient transport solutions by railway, road, and sea, operating day and night throughout the year. Annually, the ferries between Helsingborg and Helsingor transport over 7 million passengers and close to 2 million vehicles, making it one of the busiest routes globally. 80% of cargo to Sweden comes by sea, and the port handles more than 8 million tonnes of cargo each year, connecting to major ports in Europe and worldwide. The port's infrastructure includes four cranes, 68 machines, and around 70 terminal wagons. The container vessel Laura Maersk, known for being the world's first methanol-enabled container vessel, has recently started a new feeder service calling at the Port of Helsingborg.
