Matsuyama Port
Matsuyama, Japan
Matsuyama Port, a strategic point on sea routes of the Seto Inland Sea, is located in central Ehime in northwestern Shikoku, Japan. It has developed as a major port for trade and industry on the Seto Inland Sea connecting Kyushu and Honshu. The port area covers 2,200 hectares and includes the Naiko and Takahama districts with ferries connecting Matsuyama to various islands. In the Gaiko district, a container terminal is under construction, aimed at creating a trade hub for Shikoku and the Setouchi Economic Zone. Tourists can enjoy local delicacies like Mitsuhamayaki and relax at the famous Dogo Onsen. The Matsuyama Festival, with baseball-themed dances, brings the castle town to life in midsummer.
