Prince Christian Sound, also known as Ikerasassuaq, is a stunning waterway in Southern Greenland connecting the Labrador Sea with the Irminger Sea. The sound, approximately 100 km long and often just 500 meters wide, offers breathtaking views of towering mountains and glaciers calving icebergs into the crystal-clear waters. One can spot minke, fin, and blue whales along with ringed and bearded seals resting on floating ice. Summer cruise ships visit the area, including massive vessels like the 86,700-ton Eurodam and the 137,000-ton Voyager of the Seas.
