St. François Atoll, part of the Alphonse Group in Seychelles, is an uninhabited atoll located south of Victoria. It comprises two islands, St. François and Bijoutier. St. François Island, with a land area of 0.47 square kilometers, features 10 kilometers of coastline and is easily accessible by a boat ride from Alphonse Island. Bijoutier Island, with a land area of 0.03 square kilometers, is smaller and accessible by boat during high tide. The atoll is known for its rich flora and fauna, including a small breeding population of black-naped terns and hawksbill turtles. Migratory bird numbers are significant, and it serves as an important foraging habitat for immature turtles. The atoll is reached by boat from Alphonse, offering a serene and natural environment for visitors.
