Tori-Shima Island, also known as Bird Island, is an uninhabited volcanic island part of the Izu Islands in Japan. Located in the Philippine Sea, approximately 600 km south of Tokyo, this circular-shaped island is home to diverse flora and fauna, including tens of thousands of breeding seabirds such as Tristram's storm petrel and short-tailed albatross. The island's highest peak, Iō-yama, stands at 394 m offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Visitors can enjoy boat tours around the island, witnessing the rich birdlife and occasional sightings of humpback whales and dolphins during migration seasons.
