The Port of Vienna, located on the Danube River, is the largest river port in Austria with an annual traffic capacity of 12 million tonnes of cargo. In 2007, it handled 323,000 TEUs making it the busiest cargo and container port in Austria. The port features various terminals including a container terminal with a storage area of 60,000 m2, an automobile terminal accommodating 10,000 cars, and a general cargo terminal with a storage area of 270,000 m2. Moreover, the port boasts one of the largest passenger terminals on the Danube, serving 305,000 passengers in 2007.
